From London to Beijing in two days flat: That's China's ambitious high-speed railway plan to connect Asia with Europe

Holy crap this would be so AWESOME! A high speed rail going from London to Beijing? Now, I know I always opt to take planes to be smart with my money but I’m partial to trains. If you didn’t know, in Europe you can get cheap continental flights as little as like $10 USD but rail tickets are SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive.

Having said that, I do love trains, the convenience, and I can bring whatever luggage I want. There also isn’t the risk of getting airsick, which I often tend to do if I do not take Dramamine before the flight.

I also think trains are really romantic. Well, maybe because my preferred mode of traveling in Italy was Trenitalia and it was just a very nice, pleasant ride going from Rome to Florence to Venice (such a tourist I know haha). It was also more stress-free. But again…more expensive.

Anyway, next time I’m in London, I’d totally give this rail system a chance if I could afford it! We’ll see! Wow that’d be so cool….going from King’s Cross to the center of Beijing and during the ride being able to meet other people on the train and also see how the scenery changes from one place to another as the ride progresses! I’ve never been to China before and I’d love to go.
